Elwandhle Biomass Solutions is a registered South African company based in the King Cetshwayo District Municipality. We were founded on a simple observation: the region produces enormous volumes of organic waste that too often ends up in landfill, while demand for affordable, clean-burning charcoal keeps growing.
Our operation collects sawdust, sugar cane bagasse and gumtree bark from timber, sugar and agricultural businesses in the area. Through controlled carbonisation, we convert these residues into high-quality charcoal — creating value from what was previously discarded.
We are committed to local job creation, responsible environmental practice and building a genuinely circular economy in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
